          Session 233: Donald J. Dziekowicz, Stephanie Lohse, & Ashley Shams (University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, MN):
                Whose Reality? Playing with Perspective in French Literature, Media, and Film

                   The presenters proposed ways to help students understand the role of perspective and subjectivity in both the composition and the reception of "texts"--
                        that is to say, any medium serving as a vehicle for discourse--from medieval literature to modern news media and film.

- September 20, 2008: Mn AATF - Atelier d'automne
      à l'Université du Minnesota le 20 septembre (samedi).
      L'atelier sera divisé en deux:

        Le matin, M. Kim Munholland, discutera avec nous au sujet des clichés et des stéréotypes entre les Français et les Américains, dans leurs contextes historiques
        (et notamment dans le contexte des guerres).
        M. Munholland est professeur d'histoire à l'Université du Minnesota et nous a déjà parlé de la politique et du vin l'année passée.
        Notre vice-président, M. Rick Treece, nous propose le titre provocateur suivant pour cette discussion:
        "Cheese-eating surrender monkeys: Countering malicious attitudes towards the French."

        Nous offrons un prix au premier membre qui puisse identifier d'où vient la citation dans la première partie de ce titre!

        L'après-midi, nous allons accueillir Mesdames Michèle Cassavante (The Blake School) et Mary Ellen Kasak-Saxler (Stillwater High School)
