The A Vous la Parole French speaking contest was founded in 1973

by Carleton College professor Michel Monnot and cosponsored with AATF-MN, took place annually in small colleges of Minnesota,

For several decades it has been held in Coffman Memorial Union at the U of Mn – TC campus

sponsored by the Minnesota Chapter of

the American Association of Teachers of French

and the University of Minnesota Department of French and Italian.
